The Last Polka@Whisk, Empire Subang

When you are bored with the commercialized ice-cream, give the homemade ones a shot. The last time I dropped by Whisk was about a year or two ago for their cakes. This time, my brother in-law introduced me to The Last Polka. Being the noob me, I have not heard of this but the packaging looks nice. Guess this could be Fat Baby's rival. ;)

There are quite a number of flavours. I settled with Salted Gula Melaka because I love gula Melaka and it reminds me of salted caramel.

Deep dark chocolate is my hudband's and Horlicks is apparently what my bro in-law always go for.

Of all 3 we ordered, mine is the BEST! Deep dark choc is bitter for my liking and I have a feeling my bro in-law might switch to Salted Gula Melaka after this. :p




Pink Stacks; new flavour they have in the list but was not lucky enough to try it as it was already sold out. Better luck next time j guess.

My 911 is back!

For those who wondered what's with the 911 in my nicknames and usernames for all my emails and IMs, here it is! =) Lee, Jimmy and Spike made their way out of the entertainment world in 2000. I was 15 back then and of coz was devastated over the news.......Then came Westlife but nothing can replace 911's spot in my heart.

Yesterday, someone posted a YouTube clip of Richard Marx and JC Chasez singing Forever Love. From there, I went to This I Promise You performed by the same. From there, tadaaaaa! I saw 911 on the sidebar! All these while, when I queried for 911, it normally returns some distress situation! LOL!

Go drooooooool! I spent my weekend watching everything 911. =) Never felt sooooo good in the longest time. I finally know what has been missing all these while!

Btw, check out the The BIG Reunion clip. Wish I was there to witness the awesome show. Atomic Kitten, Blue, Bewitched....what more can you ask for when you get to see the 90s unfold in front of you and the 3 guys performed their Bodyshakin' hit? My all time favourite: The Day We Find Love, All I Want Is You, One More Try and A Little Bit More.

Looking at the lads.... 12 years is a loonnnggg time. Many would have kids and no doubt old already :p Someone in the The Big Reunion crowd had a banner "We have boobs now" lol Lee,Jimmy and Spike. I gotta say Spike looks more of less the same. Jimmy looks soooo manly! Lee? He is of course still the cutest :) Spotting the babyface look. Stll boyish but more towards the muscular side :) Nevertheless, still as playful. I wonder if he would still play for his Carlisle United. hehehe

For those who has never heard of 911, you will need to head to the wiki; you are either super young or you have spent your precious 911 not knowing them! How could u????? :p Wiki 911 now!

I could go on and on and on about 911 but let's save that for another post before anybody gets overloaded with 911! Stay tuneddddddddd =)

Kulcats Barrio

Kulcats Barrio. New eating place in TTDI. I don't think I'm always on the lookout for new place to eat or even olio hunting but here I am at Kulcats Barrio.


What's the place like?
Simple, cool enough to hang out and chat with friends and I would say a nice place for youngsters to chill and eat. If you smoke, settle yourself outdoor. :p


Menu:
Western. Western. Italian. Western. Western. I don't remember everything on the menu but they have enough varieties to fill your tummy. Mine was filled til there isn't any space for dessert. Lol

Tips:
Feel free to ask them of you are unsure of any items on the menu. And as usual, Free Wi-Fi. ;) Save tummy space for desserts!!!!!

Vanilla Smoothies


I wanted their Volcano Milo Smoothies but too bad no luck; they ran out of Milo. Better luck next time I guess.

Next visit, I will ask for this volcano drink again! I will try to remember to make space for desserts. I wanna try the Sloppycats Burger and maybe another pizza if Mr.Husband is up for it. :) Oh! Red velvet too! Teeheehee

Reasonable. Unless up wanna compare it with the mamak place or some random food courts. :p

Essential Appliances

Essential is another subjective word. It all depends on the individuals. What triggered this subject?

Well, ever since I'm living in the attic I always fine tune the way I live. Up til now I still eat out a lot with my husband. Trying to cut this down. I gotta admit time most of the time doesn't permit.

We have gone from no pantry to having a fridge. Then to microwave to sandwich maker...electric kettle..mini grill and latest addition, the toaster. :)

Another one on the way is a multi-cooker I bumped into on some deals website. That will allow me to boil my edamame, steam my BBQ paus, fry some simply fried rice and my favourite omelette maybe ;)

What I wish to have is still my own house. What would be good to have right now is a washing machine and drying area :p sounds almost like a house in the attic! Anyhow, still not enough space!!! Lol! Space is always an issue for me I guess. Never had a room big enough. It is always just the rift size for a bedroom set and a spot to pray and that's it! I have more in the attic we there are 2 of us and we practically make a house in the room so yea....not enough :p

What I consider as essential items(apart from lights and fans and water pump):

Fridge
Washing machine
Microwave oven
Vacuum cleaner
Radio

That's pretty much it. No, I don't have tv on my list. I don't need it. :p To be normal like everyone else, fine I'll have it on my list. At the very bottom that is. Pfffftt

It Ends Tonight

The clock juz said "Itz zero hours". We are officially out of 10th June. Officially a month from 10th May. Juz the reason why I am feeling this way. I know I am not wrong when I said my birthday lasts one month this year. For that, I am thankful.

Thankful that I felt like my birthday.

Thankful for the experience I had in the clear water with all the beautiful fishes.
Thankful for being able to have my feet on the smooth powdery white sands that I normally juz get to see in pictures.
Thankful for the time spent with the kids at work on my birthday.
Thankful for the bouquet of flowers I get this year. (The first bouquet since Dec 2010!)
Thankful for the oh-so-many birthday meals. Well it may not all classify as birthday meals but heck! It was near my birthday and it is pricey! People don't really eat pricey meals everyday.

Anyhow, unlike any fairy tales happiness period ends tonight. Bittersweet feeling.
I gotta say I will more likely write a post when I'm feeling very low rather than on top of the world. The feeling has to go somewhere and here I am calming myself down.

FYI,
I came home early for you. That's my effort.
I asked to come to bed early. That's my effort coz I know I change gears very slowly.

I sometimes despise the word effort coz it is non-measurable. Even at work, I really have no idea how they count it! do we have 8hours per head at work or 24hours at work and 36hours a day? :p

Too late to be calling anybody to talk about nothing now......so back to me,myself and I.

Is this surprising?
It isn't but odd that I am still not prepared when I have foreseen this!
(I believe I have a very forgiving soul that I can be sold, man!)
